Project Description
As advertised on December 7, 2008,
the contract consists of firms
needed to perform field surveys and other
professional surveying related to activities on a continuing two
year contractual basis.
Civil Design Group is versed in the
software's and surveying methods as required by T.D.O.T. We
have been surveying as a sub consultant or prime consultant since
our inception in 1994. Previous to that time, members of our staff
have been working with the Department on T.D.O.T projects since
1983.
Survey Operations
Civil Design Group, inc. has static
GPS and Real Time Kinematic (RTK) as well as conventional total
stations for the gathering of accurate information on the project.
CDG has extensive survey experience in various T.D.O.T projects
through the years. CDG has completed surveys on no less than 30
projects for T.D.O.T and other consulting firms.
We employ experienced and efficient
CADD operators to convert the raw field data into a stream lined
product for the designer to use. This is the important link between
the field data and the designer.
We also feel that having an
experienced professional engineer on staff is paramount to having
the survey crew acquire the required data for a proper, informed
design.
Our firm has
three (3) fully equipped, four wheel drive survey vehicles.
Project Communication
Civil Design Group, inc. has
enjoyed a relationship with T.D.O.T project managers where constant
contact has increased productivity and allowed us to meet or exceed
project schedules. By providing our Project Team with progress
snapshots of the project, we have been successful in obtaining
important feedback that helps us render quality surveys.
